PROLOGUE

Ahvi's voice trembled as she called out to her husband, Rudra. "Rudra, they said I can't get pregnant..." She hugged him tightly, hoping for comfort, but Rudra pushed her away. His mother's voice came from behind her, full of venom. "You infertile woman. Get out of my son's life. Your cousin is already pregnant with his child. Now you get lost."

The shock of these words left Ahvi reeling. She turned to see her cousin, Rhea, approaching Rudra with a sense of intimacy that made Ahvi's skin crawl. Rhea was six months pregnant and was now hugging Rudra tightly.

"Rudra baby, don't let her go. She can do all the housework in our house like a servant," Rhea said, laughing.

Ahvi felt a deep pain in her chest and a growing hatred towards her cousin. Rudra's mother dragged Ahvi out of the hospital and threw her in the car. Rudra sat on the driver's seat and Rhea sat beside him. Rudra's mother made Ahvi sit on the car floor while she sat in the back seat.

When they reached home, Rudra stopped his mother from taking Ahvi into the house. He went inside and threw all the clothes to Ahvi and at last, threw the bag at her. Then Rudra, his mother and Rhea went inside the house and closed the door.

Ahvi's eyes became wet with tears. She stared at the doors for a long time and then sat down, collecting all her clothes and placing them inside the bag. After that, she went out of Rudra's house gate and sat there for a couple of minutes. The security guard looked at her with pity in his eyes. He knew Ahvi was a very kind-hearted and selfless woman. He felt bad for her.

After calming herself, Ahvi looked at the time on her mobile. It was 1 am. She called her best friend Tanvi and the call was received in a few seconds.

"Hello Ahvi," Tanvi said.

Hearing her best friend's voice, she could not stop herself and she started crying.

"Ahvi? Ahvi what happened? Why are you crying? Where are you? Give me your location. I am coming," Tanvi asked in a panicking voice.

Ahvi said in between her cries "I am outside Rudra's house."

"Wait, I am coming," Tanvi said and cut the call.

Within 15 minutes, a car came in front of Rudra's house at rocket speed, and Ahvi got into it with her luggage.

Tanvi asked when she saw her best friend in a very bad state, "What happened? Did Rudra's mother do anything to you?"

Ahvi narrated the whole story, and now she felt her heart lighten after the narration. Tanvi fumed with anger. She punched on the dashboard.

"That Bitch Rhea. Tu ruk main abhi inko sabak sikhake ati hu," Tanvi said in anger. (You wait. I will go and teach them a lesson.)

Ahvi chuckled with her red eyes and said, "Gire hue logo se muh lagke, apna level gira mat." (Don't lower your level by meeting worthless people.)

Tanvi glanced at Ahvi and said, "This sentence of yours showed them their status. Let's go to my apartment."

Ahvi nodded and rubbed the tears from her eyes.
